Improved Filament Run Out Sensor

A compact, single-part filament-runout sensor crafted for a miniature snap-action switch. Install this device either inside or outside your printer between the filament spool and extruder. Pushing the filament through the sensor opens the switch. When the filament runs out, the switch closes. You can pause or stop your printer by connecting to specific pins on your controller board and programming the firmware to recognize the switch closure as a fault signal.
