Printing a robot with FDM allows for easier fabrication of the feet as a single unit. Achieving accurate placement of foot pads within the feet can be particularly challenging, as the feet tend to shrink more significantly than the pads. Consequently, printing them in one piece is often the preferred approach. Furthermore, depending on your chosen infill percentage, this method also reduces material usage even further.
