Improved Dungeon Parts
thingiverse
The original parts were designed during early-stage 3D printing, when precision wasn't as high, necessitating looped designs and magnets for reliability. Advances in 3D printing technology allow for better accuracy, so new 3D Printable Modular Dungeons have been released without walls, addressing their limitations such as longer painting time, difficulty of use, need for unique pieces, and storage challenges. The parts utilize OpenLock design, but floors are now designed to represent various terrains and attach components only to the floor. A door design is ready for release, with plans to create trap and torch designs. Improvements include thicker floor tiles and wall supports, modified doorways for easier post-processing, and 2mm holes in floor tiles for small magnets as an alternative to glue. Multiple parts can be printed together for time efficiency and sturdiness, with STEP files available for easy modifications. More combinations are planned for future release. Print the desired pieces and use paperclips as hinge pins if needed.
