Uploaded a new straight extruder holder, as the tilted one worked, but had a tendency to eat the pneumatic fittings.

The new extruder holder is also a bit longer, and centered on the bed, allowing a very short bowden-tube, with a free length between pneumatic connectors of 4.5mm.

After some testing, my retractions are down to 0.7mm, 99mm/s retraction speed, and K-factor 0.17.

Easy to print flying extruder mod to FLSun QQ-S Pro.

Print 3 pulleys and bearing-holders

Use 3x: M4 bolts and nuts to mount extruder holder to Dream-catcher.

Use 3x: 608 bearings for pulleys

Use 3x M4x20 bolts or screws for bearing-holders

Use 3x: rubber bands + 4 to mount to the counterweight string. One rubberband on each bollard, but 2 on the third to offset the weight of the extruder-motor.

Use 3x: pieces of string fixed to carriages.

Tie one rubber band to each piece of string. Tight enough to allow one revolution around pulley when fixed to the center bollard on the dream-catcher.

The other three bollards are for mounting a counterweight-system:

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4888073/files

M4 bolts will be self-tapping

PS: The carriages I use are these: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4669014

But it is pretty easy to make a figure-8 of string around the screws holding the arms on the original carriage.

Print Settings

Printer:

QQ-S Pro

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

20

Filament:
Generic PLA
Category: 3D Printer Accessories
