Improved Drag Cable Chain links
thingiverse
I've revised the original chain links, making the holes slightly larger to allow for smoother movement despite any print quality issues. The previous links were quite tight, requiring repeated flexing to achieve a smooth motion. This modification resolves that issue. My cable chain for the tornado design is now complete, consisting of an 11-link combination of Chain1 and Chain2. Chain3 is optional; use zip ties as needed to secure it in place. Two M3 screws and a Hammer nut are also required for assembly. I appreciate this design's unique feature: you don't need to unsolder the wires to feed them through the chain, unlike other designs that require such disassembly. This simplifies the process significantly. This design has proven effective for my purposes, functioning seamlessly with minimal effort.
