This is my improvement of the beautiful DIY Low Cost FPV Goggles by markvanhaze: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:583508 \nModified mask piece by attaching these beautiful ski goggles: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:278294 \nThe mask piece is now also smaller on the width as the ski goggles are already mounted, allowing for printing on a 6 inch bed without splitting \nI modified the center piece by attaching a remixed version of the male buckle from this sturdy Delta buckle so that it's possible to mount a top strap, and you can get the female piece from here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:264185 \nThe lense piece is unmodified so far, but you can get it from the original by markvanhaze here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:583508 \nThe monitor piece is unmodified so far, and you can also get it from the original by markvanhaze here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:583508 \n \n Instructions Tips for printing: \nUse support when slicing the mask and center piece because the ski goggles and male buckle piece do not touch the surface; otherwise, there will be an overhang that is too great for most printers. \nI recommend a 0.2 layer height and PLA; ABS also works, but some pieces are quite large and may warp or crack unless your printing conditions and technique are good. \nPrint all pieces separately \nThe following extras need to be bought: \n5 inch monitor with 640x480 resolution; I got this one for a discount at 19 USD, including shipping from China: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hot-selling-high-quality-tft-lcd-5-inch-Car-Monitor-Car-TV-Monitors-fit-for-car/32275602892.html . Marek also has a very nice screen with better resolution. I recommend this one instead: http://napolskimniebie.pl/index.php/sklep/wyposazenie-fpv/monitor-fpv-cyclope-eye-5-wersja-q-detail \n3x Fresnel lens; I got this one from Aliexpress: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Full-Page-XL-Magnifying-Sheet-Fresnel-Lens-3X-Magnification-Magnifier-17-x-26cm/32236994627.html \nSponge or rubber sealing to prevent water entry; I got this one from Aliexpress: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/3mx15mmx7mm-self-adhesive-rectangular-EPDM-rubber-foam-sponge-cabinet-electrical-ark-box-sealing-strip/32257596345.html \n1x Headlamp or 3 straps to secure the headband; I got this one with a battery pack that fits an 11.1v ZOP Power 1500mAh LiPo battery http://www.banggood.com/CREE-2000Lm-XM-L-XML-T6-LED-Adjustable-Headlight-Headlamp-p-908494.html \n1x 11.1v battery to power the receiver and screen; I got this one because it fits in the headlamp's battery compartment: http://www.banggood.com/ZOP-Power-11_1V-1500mAh-35C-Lipo-Battery-XT60-Plug-p-961321.html Optional extras to buy: Shrinker tube for organizing cables \nTape or preferably glue to stick the cables inside our outside the goggles. I used plastic strips to attach them on the side of the mask, but I'm sure it can be made more tidy by gluing them inside and shortening any excess cable. \nMount it all together: \nI printed a little seal line strap for fastening the headband; if you buy a complete headlamp set, you don't need this. Seal Line Strap: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:307347 \nAttach the 5 inch screen to the monitor piece \nRoute the cables wherever you want them. There is no space on the inside because of the lens. \nGlue the screen piece to the center piece \nCut a soft material for the ski goggle face frame and glue it in place; I used foam or rubber sealing, which should work just fine. \nGlue the mask piece and center piece together \nAttach head straps using one from a headlamp, removing the lamp inside the back battery pack cover and stripping away plastic excess inside; this allows for perfect fitment of an 11.1v ZOP Power LiPo battery in the back of your head
