Improved Cable chain links
thingiverse
I reworked some sections of the links to minimize plastic consumption. I also adjusted the design to ensure a stronger structure since the original vertical position was quite weak. To print this model, use 100% infill, 0.2 layer height, and supports. If you're using ABS, add Brim with a 3mm setting. This revised design reduces print time by 40%. You'll be able to see the cables inside, which may not be the most aesthetically pleasing outcome. Update: I've added some printed pictures; I'll post more images once they're installed on my printer! Update 2: A nema 17 adapter is now included for the chains. The link in this adapter is angled due to my use of Greg's extruder, which positions the motor at a 26.5-degree angle. You'll understand why when I upload pictures of the chain mounted. Update 3: Another orientation option is available for the Nema 17 adapter. Additionally, an elbow for the chain has been added if you need to make a 90-degree turn with your chain.
