Improved cable chain link
thingiverse
This link was greatly improved based on the work of tosjduenfs and QuentinT. With it, you'll be able to insert your cables with ease, making assembly a breeze once compressed. The printer needs to have the capability of bridging closely together. After printing 25 units, all function properly despite a calculation error regarding the rotational angle of the bridge, which results in them rotating 90 degrees upwards and around 20 degrees downwards. This will be adjusted in redesign to limit the angles to 45 and 0 degrees respectively. Interestingly enough, this particular link doesn't require any supports - not that it would have been beneficial even if required. Instructions The bridges are intended for .2mm layer height; ensure your slicer does not overlook this crucial detail. Optimal flexibility can be achieved using ABS material.
