Improved base for BFG
thingiverse
This is my other project designed for improving BFG pieces. It's a custom base for your ship featuring built-in damage tracking, navigation tools, and slots for upgrades or designation markers - including blank name tags. The experience of using it has been less than ideal, but I'm open to experimentation. Feel free to try it out and PM me if you need SolidWorks source files. Instructions for assembling and utilizing this project are as follows: - First, print three primary components: the base, numbers, and upper part. - Next, apply 3*1mm magnets to secure the bottom and top parts of the base together. - Once assembled, place the numbers on top of the base, followed by the upper part. - The project is complete. The upper part features three slots for tokens (including various designs and a blank template). The marking lines on the upper part serve as arc indicators while also functioning as a compass when paired with lines on the base. When rotating the upper part, you can track your ship's angle of rotation using these markings. Additionally, there is a small window on the upper part allowing you to monitor hull points via the numbers wheel situated between the base and upper parts.
