Improved Anti-Vibration Foot
thingiverse
This is a significantly enhanced design of anti-vibration foot over my preceding design - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:691234.\nIt has been partly inspired by 3DMS' tennis ball damper - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1209709.\nThe solid foam-rubber balls offer complete vibration isolation from the workbench and I have been utilizing this for several months now with no decline in resilience, unlike my earlier foam 'noodle' feet. These will fit any printer with similar 5mm plate construction to the Wanhao or early Makerbots. \nThe foam balls were purchased at 50p each from the dog-ball basket in PetsAtHome (in the UK). These were the softest of the solid rubber balls they had and are 60mm (2.36") diameter.\nI designed this foot for quick printing and mine were printed using my 'swift, rough and ready' settings at 5% fill and 0.3mm layers. I recommend a drop of glue to attach the cups to the printer to provide more stability. \nPrint Settings\nPrinter: \n Wanhao Duplicator 4\n \n Rafts: \n No\n \n Supports: \n No\n \n Resolution: \n As rough as desired\n \n Infill: \n 5%\n\n \nThe Custom Section shows a closer look at the second picture and you'll notice the other three accessories I've designed for this printer :- The knobbly knobs, the eSun spool support and the 5mm spacer.
