Improved Anti Backlash Nut in OpenSCAD
thingiverse
This anti backlash nut is based on a previous design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2634333) and nuts purchased for the HyperCube Evolution (see these nuts in the custom bracket I created here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2630802) This update includes some grooves in the main part and some counter fitting edges in the small (spring loaded) nut to prevent movement of the nut. As my Tr8x4 rods have not arrived yet, I designed this nut to experiment with the anti backlash concept on some Tr8x8 treaded rods that were lying around. Note that the design can handle both threads; just choose the one you want. All STL files are generated for TR8x8(p2), so they start from four positions. Note that this design uses the following libraries: Threads, found at: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1659079 Chamfered primitives, found at: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1305888
