Improved Adaptive Gripping Box for Raptor Reloaded Hand

Improved Adaptive Gripping Box for Raptor Reloaded Hand

thingiverse

Developers at MIT have created a revised gripper box for use with the Raptor Reloaded and Phoenix hands that enables adaptive grip capabilities. This design is fully compatible with the standard gripper box and outperforms the previously released whippletree gripper box in several key areas, including: - Incorporating the thumb into the adaptive grip - Balancing of forces for improved stability - Enhancement of the assembly process We believe that this design is even more efficient to assemble than the standard gripper box, and significantly boosts functionality. We welcome your feedback! Note: we have only tested its compatibility with the Raptor Reloaded, but anticipate it will work seamlessly with the Phoenix Hand as well. Both STLs and SLDPRTs are included for maximum usability. An assembly guide is provided to ensure ease of use. The prints vary slightly between the right and left hand, so please note which files you need prior to printing! We would appreciate your input on its performance, particularly from an end-user perspective! This work was made possible through a Technology Office grant at MIT Lincoln Laboratory.
