Improve safety and durability of TwoTrees laser engraver
thingiverse
The set includes elements designed to enhance your twotrees laser engraver's durability and performance. These upgrades focus on improving cable management, safety features, and functionality. To improve your engraver's durability, cable strain protections for the X/Y axis and cables exiting the control board are provided. Small 1.75 mm holes in each element allow you to use printing filament as a guide (PETG is recommended due to its flexibility). A small component prevents wires from being caught by the nut and thread at the back of the X carriage. For improved safety, the laser shield is included. The top element replaces the original Plexiglas plate on top of the laser electronics. The feet are designed to elevate the engraver over a 26 mm thick wood oven stone (which resists high temperatures and scatters the laser beam). This setup protects your workbench. To enhance your engraver's capabilities, end stops on the X/Y axis using 3D printer switches are added. You can purchase these components at Hobbyking. The set also includes my Malyan M180 DLC configuration file for laserGRBL (Grbl->Grbl Configuration). Although auto homing is not available, end-stop functionality has been implemented. Additionally, a custom button configuration file called MyButtons.gz allows you to add practical buttons to your laser engraver. You can view the shield in action on YouTube at https://youtu.be/4gQfQVEpQDg.
