Impossible Table Held up by Buckets

Impossible Table Held up by Buckets

Buckets hang suspended above an unsupported table, defying gravity as they hold it up - or down - simultaneously. I came across a real-world image that inspired me to recreate this phenomenon. The result is 100% accurate, measuring approximately 8 inches in total height when assembled. To achieve stability, I filled the buckets with sand and employed a single string for each side's buckets, rather than attempting to create separate strings for all four sides. This approach simplifies the process, requiring only two equal strings that are fed through from one end to the other. I designed the table in two pieces to accommodate printing on glass, which allows for a smooth finish on the tabletop. The two frame pieces and the two table pieces fit together with friction, eliminating the need for glue.
