Impossible Dovetail - Hexagonal shaft

Impossible Dovetail - Hexagonal shaft

thingiverse

This is an example of an "impossible" dovetail on a hexagonal shaft that can be printed out in two parts and assembled with ease. It's best to print them in two different colors for a striking visual effect! A 0.1mm tolerance gap was deliberately included to ensure a seamless fit straight off the printer. Once complete, photos will be added to showcase this remarkable feat of engineering. Meanwhile, I'm also considering making this a customizable manipulative using OpenSCAD, so stay tuned for updates - it's going to be a game-changer!
