Impossible Dovetail Cube
prusaprinters
Simple cube, assembled from the Impossible Dovetail Solutions set. Print Settings Printer: Prusa i3 MK3 Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 10% Filament: StrongHero 3D PLA Silver Notes: Only Part3 requires supports, and only to the bed. The other parts can be oriented in such a way as to avoid the supports requirement. A fure update may include pre-oriented models. Post-Printing ============= Really, there should be minimal use of supports, as part3 is the only one requiring them. In that case, orient the part such that the hexagonal (female) dovetail is facing down, so you'll only have to remove supports from the outer edges of the print. Additionally, be aware that the tolerances are extremely tight by design. You may want to file/sand the mating surfaces of the diagonal sliding dovetail joint. The others will likely operate without post-processing, if your printer is suitably dialed in. How I Designed This While TinkerCad is essentially a child's toy, this is one of those few cases where it was useful, in that it can directly manipulate imported STLs without need to convert them to STEP files, so it was the way to go.
