Imperial Assault - Computer Terminal with pin
thingiverse
I was not satisfied with the printable Terminal Upgrade token holder, so I decided to print this alternative instead because it looks far more intimidating. After printing all of them, I realized why people print token holders in the first place - because we need to flip those tokens over to conceal their color. So I figured, why not simply create a colored light as a pin that can be flipped over to hide its color? To make this work, I made the pin slightly smaller than the hole it goes through. This is because I didn't want it to fit too tightly since one side will be painted and fiddling with such a small thing is already frustrating enough. If you feel the pin could benefit from a tighter fit, simply adjust its X and Y axis coordinates without altering its Z axis value - doing so would result in an oversized pin that resembles a rod rather than a light bulb. Alternatively, you can also print this design using transparent filaments to give it a more striking appearance. Consider printing half of the light bulb clear and the other half in the desired color for an extra touch of elegance.
