Impeller(Turbine)
grabcad
A centrifugal pump's impeller, commonly made of materials like iron, steel, bronze, brass, aluminum or plastic, receives energy from its driving motor and transfers it to the fluid being pumped. This is done by accelerating the fluid outwards from the pump's center of rotation. The fluid's velocity then turns into pressure once confined within the pump casing. Impellers are typically short cylinders with an 'eye' inlet for accepting incoming fluids, vanes to push them radially, and a fitting bore for attaching to a drive-shaft via splines, keys or threads.
