Create another larger boat by scaling up my existing boat design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:204303) to approximately 200%. The transom is only half as thick. Print in two parts at heights of 162.5mm (aft) and 163.5mm (bow). Add an impeller drive and rudder control. Use the rudder control unit from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:272132. Consider using a small DC motor for easier handling, as a larger motor may cause instability. Test with a 2-cell battery due to imperfect impeller concentricity; however, the M5 impeller runs perfectly with a Roxxy BL-Outrunner. Secure the two parts with tape during testing. Proceed with caution! Use at your own risk and be aware of high centrifugal force when running the impeller at high speed. Ensure strong connections between blades and hub to prevent dangerous situations. Calculate centrifugal force using this tool: http://www.kfz-tech.de/Formelsammlung/Fliehkraft.htm. Test in flat water without waves for safety. Update: Split the hull into three pieces for improved design flexibility. Download new files: impeller boat bow 119 mm.stl, impeller boat middle 103 mm.stl, and impeller boat aft 103 mm.stl, along with interface files impeller boat interface front.stl and impeller boat interface back.stl. Printing tips: Use spiral vase method for neat surfaces without layer changes. Hull should be 3mm thick; print with a 0.3mm layer height, 0.6mm width, and hollow with one perimeter. Add a small base to the aft for extra brim. The stern should have four 0.3mm solid layers on the bottom and none on top. Print the bow hollow with just a little brim. Interfaces are designed to be placed fifty-fifty in gaps of hull parts, making alignment and gluing easy. Mask hull edges with tape before gluing. For impeller and housing, use layer height 0.3mm, width 0.5mm, infill 0.2, two perimeters, and three solid layers on bottom and top. Use a small DC motor that tolerates 4 cells battery (diameter 24mm, shaft 2mm).
