Impact Wrench Valve Seal

Impact Wrench Valve Seal

My trusty Bostitch impact wrench had given up the ghost, refusing to stop spinning whenever I attached the air hose. The motor whirred relentlessly, as if possessed by a mischievous spirit. After disassembling the air valve mechanism, I discovered the culprit: the valve seal had deteriorated, and some of the plastic coating had chipped away. Finding a replacement part that didn't come with an assortment of unnecessary components proved to be a challenge. Determined to revive my impact wrench, I decided to create my own replacement seal. The design required precision, as it involves embedding an M8 washer within the seal. I sliced the model and uploaded my G-code file to PrusaPrinters.org, specifying a color change at 3.2mm. After downloading the modified file, I prepared the printer for print mode. As the printer unloaded the filament, I carefully cut it on an angle and reloaded it. Following the notes in the Print Settings section, I ensured that the washer was properly embedded within the print.
