ImmersionRC 5.8GHz 600mw Tx Case
thingiverse
I based the dimensions of the antenna area off my ImmersionRC 5.8GHz SpiroNET Antenna set, specifically using the nut size of the antennas. Note that your antenna nut size may be slightly larger than mine, and in Version 1b I will make this area bigger to accommodate different sizes. This is Version 1 of the case design. After a friend and I broke our video transmitter antenna connector off our boards, we started working on this project together. This case adds support around the connector and antenna, allowing you to position the antenna or take a crash without putting stress where the connector meets the board. You can clearly see the power LED light in plain sight, easy access to the tx channel dip switches, and you can plug and unplug the camera and power connectors to the board without taking off the case. I will be making improvements on this case in the future, but for now it is fully functional - the tx fits nicely and snugly inside. Weight printed in ABS was 11.4g both parts together. Note that you should also highly recommend putting 5min epoxy over the pins that connect the plug to the board for added support - the solder alone holds those pins to the board. I used Inventor 2015 software for designing this case and a 6" digital caliper to measure the transmitter before planning out the design.
