The MRI Desert Eagle Mark XIX is a renowned semi-automatic handgun that chambers the biggest centerfire cartridge among magazine-fed, self-loading pistols. Available in .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum and .50 Action Express (or .50 AE), this model boasts various finishes such as brushed chrome or titanium gold. Magnum Research previously offered a .440 Cor-bon caliber version of the Mark XIX, with less than 500 imported into the U.S. in December 2000. These unique firearms are distinguished by a number 440 on the left lower side of the barrel, marked by numerals twice the size of other calibers and without a preceding period. Some .44 Magnum barrels have been rechambered to produce .440 Corbon barrels, but these can be identified by an off-centered .440 (with period) resulting from adding the final 0 to the original barrel mark.
