25 March 2019\nThis mysterious stone artifact resides in Inverness Museum, its origins still shrouded in mystery.\nThe cups display unmistakable signs of tool marks, hinting at a deliberate crafting process.\nThree of the cups feature rings or partial rings, while a curved groove also bears the telltale scars of tool use.\nThe stone itself is a fragile fine sandstone, prone to crumbling and erosion.\nIts surface is dotted with a peculiar cement-like residue in certain areas - perhaps it has been repurposed as part of a wall at some point?\nWhen positioned so that the pointed end with the clear cup and ring is at the bottom, the stone takes on a striking resemblance to a face, with the groove forming a distinctive brow.
