I designed this device to combine the functionality of an USB hub and a standard hard drive for backup purposes, requiring both components to be integrated seamlessly. The compatibility of the holder may vary depending on your iMac model, as it appears that the dimensions of the holder differ across different models. I have also included the STL file, allowing you to make adjustments according to your needs. I recommend printing this device using a brim to prevent warping. The two lids are designed to accommodate magnets of various sizes, ensuring flexibility in magnet selection as long as they fit within the housing. The hinges are precise and require minimal smoothing with a file to ensure perfect alignment. If the lids do not close perfectly, I suggest using a small heat source such as a hairdryer or heat gun to soften the male hinge. Once malleable, assemble the hinge using a pin to secure it in place while forcing the lid to shut completely. Wait a few seconds for the PLA material to reset before achieving perfect closure. This device is intended for use on well-calibrated printers only.
