Desain ini adalah pengganti dari original Prusa i3 Rework Problem umum di Prusa i3 Rework: 1. Dudukan J-head hotend stuck, terkunci di dalam lubang bodi extruder 2. Hanya ada satu fan, kurang bagus untuk print PLA/flex 3. Lubang supply filamen kecil, kadang kurang lancar ketika deformasi (misal karena kepanasan) 4. Kesulitan membuka jendela idler untuk memasukkan filamen 5. Belum ada tempat khusus untuk proximity sensor 6. Sering gagal ketika print flex 7. Hotend e3d V5 terlalu panjang, sehingga endstop original tidak menyentuh limit switch original. Print area Z lebih pendek +- 1cm Desain update ini menjawab semua permasalahan tersebut.
