iLean front wheel drive trike: Fred Bike Project
thingiverse
These files make a start on sharing plans for my leaning trike that recently completed a 4-day, 1,200-kilometer audax ride, see my blog at http://modularbikes.blogspot.com/2020/03/murray-1200-pics-day1.html. This meant daily km totals of approximately 350, 350, 250, and 250 kilometers. Yes, that's a lot. The first five files are for the frame spacers which allow the trike to be split in two to transport it so in a car or on a train. More will follow; I'll try to do one batch of files every five or six weeks until it's all done. To whet your appetite, you can make a tiny little one, read the blurb carefully before jumping in, there are lots of files on this thing and not all of them apply, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3359741 UPDATE March 19, 2020. I've added bottom bracket housings. All files beginning with BB. UPDATE March 28, 2020. I've added frame and frame assembly drawings starting with FRAME. The whole frame is simpler but heavier than the two-part frame shown in other drawings. UPDATE April 2, 2020. I've added a dwg that enables a tailbox to be routed from 4mm birch ply. For some assembly process details, see http://modularbikes.blogspot.com/2019/06/a-few-days-in-spacetank.html UPDATE April 21, 2020. I've added dwg "ffd" showing laser-cut front fork dropouts and forks.pdf describing three ways of making or sourcing front fork. UPDATE June 25, 2020. I've added (FST.pdf) steerer made from stunt scooter parts and adjustable stem Regards Steve Nurse
