The bronze figure known as Il Porcellino is Florence's popular local nickname for a fountain shaped like a boar. A masterpiece created by renowned Baroque sculptor Pietro Tacca around 1634, it was forged from an Italian marble copy of the Hellenistic original, housed at that time in the prestigious Grand Ducal collections within the Uffizi Museum, and still on display today in the museum's classical section. A marble sculpture, discovered in Rome during the mid-16th century and relocated to Florence by the Medici family, was associated with the Calydonian Boar of Greek myth from the time of its rediscovery. The following print settings can be used: Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: .4 Infill: .20 Notes on this 3D model: Due to its relatively small size, you'll need to increase it using your slicer before printing. Additionally, the base of the figure is quite thin, resulting in warping when printed with PLA; consider adding a thicker pedestal or base to prevent such distortions. This 3D model was generated by scanning the bronze fountain using a Galaxy S4 smartphone equipped with 123D Catch. A refined version of the scan was achieved through subsequent editing on both 123D Catch and MeshMixer software programs.
