If you have bad scaling you will from time to time need a new perlator, but with ikea, these are only to get at the help desk, furthermore they are very hard to get out of the faucet, hence they are one time use. if you would like to clean them, here is the right tool. This won't fit all faucet, so please help out in the comments, if it is working with your faucet.
