This model lets you put your battery operated Ikea Tradfri switches over the existing ones on the wall.It is made to fit “old style” round switch-plates (OD 46mm).There is a cavity to install a magnet to hold the switch in place. Before inserting the magnet, see which side “sticks” to the Tradfri switch and insert the magnet with the “sticky” side up.Pause on layer 87/15mm to insert the magnet (already configured in *.3mf files). It can also be printed without pausing, and then cut the bridging filament over the magnet cavity off from the back/inside with an exacto knife to insert the magnet. The cavity should be tight enough to retain the magnet on its own, but I've had some cases where the magnet falls when the switch is removed. This is why the pause on layer 87/15mm method is preferred.NOTE: If you are using Octoprint or any other USB serial solution to control the printer, note that the Mini has a (long standing) bug where it will ignore the M601/pause command. So instead, you have to use M600/filament change for the print to pause (and unload/reload the same filament), or print from USB. The magnet is off center (as it is in the Tradfri switch itself), check which way you want the Tradfri switch to face up before attaching: “I” up = magnet to the left, “O” up = magnet to the right. On the pictures, the magnet is to the left so that the button's “I” is up.I have had moderate success printing this with PETG (33% failure rate) but very good success with PLA (0% failure rate). I suggest using the *.3mf files for printing rather than the STL, because Prusa Slicer adds unnecessary supports along the screw shafts which make the prints fail even more (in particular with PETG). The *.3mf files also include the pause codes at the right layer for inserting the magnet.Should also work with the other square Ikea Tradfri switch (a.k.a. shortcut button)STEP and Solidworks files included so you can adapt it to your own wall switch plates/mounts.
