Custom-made adapters fit Ikea Trådfri dimmer and switch into lamp switch frames perfectly. Specifically designed for Schneider Electric Trend series, these adapters may also work with other similar frames. The frontplate of the dimmer features a small notch to remove the dimmer bases easily in the future. In contrast, the switch has a simple plate that doesn't require a notch. When installing the adapter, use a screw no longer than 5.5 mm to avoid marking the wall behind the backplate. The larger holes in the front plate are 4mm in diameter, while the smaller ones in the backplate are 2 mm in diameter. To secure the plastic in the backplate, it's recommended to use a large thread size; however, machine screws should also work.
