IKEA Tisken paper towel roll mount
thingiverse
This is my project of a paper towel roll hanger for IKEA Tisken suction cup mounts created in response to COVID-19, when offices needed more paper towels without damaging walls. After some trial and error, this version is final - tested and used with a 1.3kg roll. It was printed using PET-G, a 0.6 nozzle, a 0.2 layer thickness, 60-70% infill, no rafts, and no brim; however, it's simple enough to be printed from any filament and still remain strong and sturdy. The Tisken mounts have impressively strong suction cups, but the plastic itself is not robust enough, so a backplate was added - please mount it with a proper screw for plastic instead of an M3 bolt, as the hole is square for a reason. The tabs on the bars serve a purpose too; you can adjust the distance from the wall by lifting the axle part halfway and sliding it, depending on the roll diameter. I have a large enough bed to print without breaking up the axle into multiple parts, which would be required for smaller beds - it's also big enough to accommodate larger rolls. If printing is not possible, you can remix this design yourself.
