Ikea Tape Measure Holder
thingiverse
I'm looking for a tiny holder for Ikea's free paper tape measures, something that won't break the bank or take forever to print out. Update: I've got v2 in my sights, and it's a keychain version with a slightly better fit going on. Use those STL files for the keychain if you're feeling fancy. Assembly Time: Take that paper strip (tape measure) and roll it around the bottom structure part one time plus a little extra wiggle room. Now put the band tightener in place, making sure the tape measure goes through the side opening like it's supposed to. Next thing you know, your measuring tape is sitting pretty snug. Add the shell on top, making sure the tape measure still has room to breathe through that side opening. Finally, give the top lid a little friction fit onto the bottom structure part - it should be pretty tight in there. If it's not, you might need to bust out some glue to get things just right. Grab hold of the shell with your fingers and start rolling on the textured/spiky sides of the bottom structure - that'll get the tape rolling up in no time!
