This was made to convert a standalone Ikea STRÅLA lamp holder fitting to instead fit a bottle neck. The lower part of the lamp fitting has to be removed, the cord threaded through the adapter, and the lamp fitting clipped to the adapter. The bottle has to have a hole drilled in the side to allow the cable to pass out.
