Using the brilliant IKEA Skadis pegboard in my office, I sometimes experienced hooks falling down if not being carefull when removing tools from the hooks. These plugs are holding the hooks in place so that it shouldn't be possible to remove them unintentinally. There is also an included a 3D printable tool for easy removal of the plugs.
