IKEA Skadis Prusa Spool Holder Adapter / Mount

<p>The adapter has 5 pegs on the back to mount it to an IKEA Skadis peg board. They go in easily but hold on strong. Once mounted it provides enough clearance to the board to hold Prusament spools with 2cm to spare.</p><p><i>Please post a Make of this print if you liked it and it was useful to you. Thank you!</i></p><h3>Updates</h3><p><strong>2022-01-07</strong><br>After initial feedback I uploaded version v3. It provides a new inner piece which more accurately adheres to the correct measuresments of the Prusa i3 MK3/S/+ frame. The spool holder will now fit much more tightly around the inner piece of the adapter which prevents tilting and wobbling.</p><p>The main adapter body changed as well. However, please note: If you already printed version v2, you do NOT NEED to re-print the main adapter body. The new v3 inner piece also fits the old v2 main body.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h3>Mounting</h3><p>Either before mounting the main adapter body to the IKEA Skadis board, slide the inner part into the body from the top and clamp on the original Prusa spool holder to the inner part.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h3>Print Settings</h3><p><i>Use the .3mf file provided with this print as a starting point for print settings.</i></p><p><strong>Material:</strong> Something strong. I printed this in PETG, but I guess ASA, ABS or PC would work as well or even better.</p><p><strong>Infill: </strong>at least 25%. I used gyroid infill.</p><p><strong>Perimeters: </strong>For added strength I used 5 perimeters.</p><p><strong>Layer height:</strong> 0.3mm or finer.</p><p><strong>Orientation: </strong>Print the inner part laying on its side and the main body standing up.</p><p><strong>Supports: </strong>You will need supports for the pegs on the back of the adapter.</p><h3>&nbsp;</h3><h3>Remix</h3><p>This print is a remix of <a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/65046-prusa-spool-holder-wall-mount-bracket">Prusa Spool Holder Wall Mount Bracket</a> and <a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/107354-prusa-spool-holder-ceiling-mount-bracket">Ceiling Mount Bracket</a> by <a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/social/35971-nils-kal/about">Nils Kal</a>. Thanks for the great design, Nils!</p><p>I got the idea after discovering the wall mount bracket. However, I ended up using the ceiling mount design as a basis for my final design.</p><p>I decided to go with the original two part design. It was originally used to allow access to the screw holes which my version does not have. However, it also allows one to print the inner part on its side. It should handle the forces of the spool holder better than if it was printed in a vertical orientation.</p>
