Tips are appreciated and go towards creating new designs

A friend of mine is into wargaming and wants to organize his paints a little bit better to have them easily accessible and all stored neatly. He saw the design by Black Hussar which is pretty neat, but the meshes seem a bit broken and after fixing them the paint holder doesn't quite fit the Ikea Skadis Pegboard for some reason. So I stepped in and designed a new one from scratch.

The paint holder is sized such that it uses two same-aligned rows of the pegs on the Skadis pegboard (so technically 4 rows), but spacing is left between the holders so that they fit next to each other in a row. I've added versions for 3, 4 and 5 Citadel paint bottles which should make it possible to cover pretty much any situation on the Skadis pegboards.

The back side features removeable hooks and securing pegs (for easier printability) which can also be adjusted for height, should you wish to do so.

The differences between the regular and "simple" GW_PaintHolder are pretty much cosmetic. The simple one has a different back design which makes it use a bit less plastic and thus print a tiny bit faster.

If you want to design your own versions, I've added a PDF with blueprints and key measurements as reference material, as well as 'blanks' for easy modification (with the number indicating how many pegs it uses) in STL and STEP formats.
If you need more information, different file formats or want me to adjust anything, specific paint bottle support or something else, drop a comment and I'll see what I can do. Obviously you're free to remix as well.

Paint Holder Types:

33mm ("GW_")

Fits Games Workshop / Citadel Paint Bottles

Fits nose-down Vallejo dropper bottles and similar with cap diameter <23mm

37mm

Fits Vallejo Airbrush Colors, 32ml (fit not tested by me personally)

Fits Liquitex Acrylic Ink, 30ml (fit not tested by me personally)

Fits Createx Airbrush Colors, 60ml (fit not tested by me personally)

25mm

Fits Vallejo dropper bottles, standing up

Blank

For adapting to your own bottle sizes

Available for 3, 4 and 5 pegs on the Skadis board

Available in STL and STEP file format

Update 2021-12-23:

Added photo of printed paint holders in use, kindly supplied by Bralle

Bralle also remixed some holders for for Vallejo metal colors and Createx/Faskolor airbrush colors

As he said his are not well-centered I made some versions for 37mm bottles as well

Added image of recommended print orientation (rotation on X/Y-plane is for viewing purposes only)

Added 25mm Vallejo Dropper Bottle versions

Added STEP files of 3x, 4x and 5x blank holders in simple and 'decorative' form for easier editing / modding

Print Notes:

General Print notes:

Each paint holder reaquires two attachment hooks and optionally two additional securing pegs. These mainly improve stability against rattling.

I designed the whole thing to be printed with 0.1mm resolution, but it should work with 0.2mm resolution as well.

Layer height is less important than XY-resolution with the intended / described print orientations. As long as you use a 0.4mm nozzle or smaller, everything should work out A-OK. I can't make any guarantees for larger nozzles though.

The infill ratio is not that critical and PLA is plenty strong for a couple small paint bottles. For a slightly nicer finish I recomment 5 shells and 25% infill. Functionally 3 shells and 15% infill ought to work good enough if you feel like saving some time and plastic.
Paint holders printing notes

Paint Holders Printing Notes:

You can print the paint holders as they are, no need for supports, brims or anything.
Place them such that the paint bottle openings sit flat on the build platform.
Attachment hook / securing pegs printing notes

Attachment Hook / Securing Pegs Printing Notes:

Print them vertically with the flat side of the hook or peg respectively facing towards the build platform. I've added a picture of the recommended printing orientations for better understanding.

As these are vertical parts with a fairly small surface area you may need to use a brim. 3mm ought to be sufficient, though I've also gotten away without brims in tests. It's safer to use them though.

If you use a brim you may need to cut the two notches free in order to allow the outer parts to function like springs, which is necessary for functional reasons.
