IKEA Skadis Pegboard Spacer or Mount

IKEA Skadis Pegboard Spacer or Mount

I have the 30x22 Skadis pegboard, but the mount included has a 24" spacing. My studs are 16" and I plan to hang more than pens on it. So I created a spacer which I can run #10 wood screws through. I chose 3" long but you could get by with 2". Running #10 screws will ever so slightly thread on the spacer so you can attach it to all your desired points first by hand and then drill them straight in. The design flairs the top and bottom out so there is more leverage against the wall, side to side is tapered just in case you mount two diagonal from one another. There are two prongs that go up into the peghole which helps center the screw and keeps the mount from twisting. Enough clearance up and down is provided (2.5mm to help assist with final leveling. The prongs sit flush with the board when inserted. There are two different heights to give you a choice of depth. The long is for 19mm spacing while the short is for 12mm spacing (gives just enough spacing to use Skadis hooks and maintain lowest profile without marring the wall up. I hope someone else gets some use out of it!
