IKEA Skadis Heavy Duty Magnetic Mount

This magnetic mounting strip for the IKEA Skadis pegboard uses up to 20 6x6mm round magnets to hold heavier objects. The magnets are press-fit into the faceplate, and the faceplate slides downward onto up to three hooks to bear against the pegboard.I use to it hold metallic objects as heavy as a barbeque flipper and grout trowel.Assembly is straight forward. In my case I print three hooks and one faceplate. I pressfit twenty 6x6mm magnets into the faceplate, then slide in three hooks and mount to my pegboard.Inserting the magnets takes some mild force, and they should be seated flush to avoid pulling back out when removing the hanging object. I use one of the hooks as a wedge to press the magnets in place. Two 6x6mm magnets 1.5mm thick fit into each opening, though you can use a single or populate fewer holes if you're hanging lighter weight objects. A hole through to the back allows easy removal with a narrow object (e.g. allen wrench) if you change your mind :-)I am successfully hanging objects weighing approximately 300g / 10.5 oz.PrintingAll parts should be printed in the orientation of the STL files, and can be printed without supports: The faceplate on its face, and the hook on its side. The hook, especially, gains strength from being printed in this orientation.Supports: NoneMaterial: I used PETG, but other rigid plastics should work well, too.Infill: I printed with 25% gyroid---The hook mechanism is directly remixed from the Compact Pegboard Hook by CovertContours, adapted by me to offer a sliding and locking mechanism to attach the magnetic faceplate.
