I really liked this spool holder design as I wanted something that a) would hang off a Skadis board and b) was compact enough to print on the 15x15x15 print bed of the Adventurer 3, however I didn't have any of the hooks Skadis needed on hand. I found sensorback's remix for Skadis hooks specifically for this build (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4810695) and combined both models to give the original spool holder Skaid-ready arms. Think of it as a Frankenstein's monster of bits cobbled together. I've printed 3 of these for changing filaments on the fly without having to deal with the tiny spool space in the Adventurer 3 and so far they've all worked perfectly. As per the original model, you need two 608 bearings (I got mine from Amazon). Here's the information from the original Thing about printing, with some added info for the new arms: Printing -no supports needed -no difficult parts works great in PLA you have to print: 1x Arm - Left 1x Arm - Right Print one of each with the long flat side on the print bed - one side is slightly tapered so that the hook fits through the Skadis holes, so the other side should lay flat. No need to print them standing up like in the original Thing. 1x inside stick print it laying down, it has a flat spot for ease of print 1x outside Roll print standing up, Randomize the z seam or get your coasting settings tuned in well, as the seam makes it a bit harder for the Filament roll to roll over it. sanding it down is also an option 2x slipstops laying down Assembly put the outside Roll over the inside stick and press the bearings over from either end. Proceed with sliding the slipstops over the ends of the inside stick. Insert the Skadis hooks into the arms and put them on the pegboard. Done! I designed everything with some gaps in mind, if something is too lose glue it down or add some layers of tape to the critical gaps/spots. (you probably have to glue the Slipstops in place)
