Ikea Skadis Bearing filament roller

This is my take on a filament roller mounted to an IKEA SKADIS pegboard. My goal was to remove that big swinging filament roll from the top of my 3D printer. It uses extremely little filament and is easy to print and assemble. It fits rolls up to 70 mm wide. It has been tested for roughly 20 filament swaps and ~50 hours of printing. You can have the filament feed from above, below, left, right, or any orientation you need. The wobble introduced by the roll is gone, and my prints show way less ringing now. Things you need are: * An IKEA SKADIS pegboard * These two hooks: https://www.ikea.com/de/de/p/skadis-haken-weiss-50335618/ * Two 608 bearings (very cheap and common) I used these: https://www.kugellager-express.de/miniatur-kugellager-608-2rs-8x22x7-mm?ratings_nPage=6#tab-votes Printing: * No supports needed * No difficult parts Works great in PLA You have to print: * 2 x Arm v3 Print them oriented with the groove upwards (orientation as in second pic) * 1 x inside stick Print it laying down, it has a flat spot for ease of print * 1 x outside roll Print standing up, randomize the Z seam or get your coasting settings tuned in well, as the seam makes it a bit harder for the filament roll to roll over it. Sanding it down is also an option * 2 x slip stops Laying down Assembly: Put the outside roll over the inside stick and press the bearings over from either end. Proceed with sliding the slip stops over the ends of the inside stick. Insert the SKADIS hooks into the arms and put them on the pegboard. Done! I designed everything with some gaps in mind, if something is too loose glue it down or add some layers of tape to the critical gaps/spots. (You probably have to glue the slip stops in place) Any questions and ideas for improvements are very welcome!
