I replaced my daughter's Ikea sewing machine spool holder after it broke, and I decided to learn OpenSCAD to create a new one through several iterations. Now that I've designed it, I see there are other versions on Thingiverse, but mine is a straightforward pinch-to-fit design without the outer rings that kept breaking off in my initial prototype, so I simply widened the overall block instead.
