<p>Remixed version of the original, 2 cm higher to accommodate more space for silica gel pearls at the bottom of the box.</p><p>Watch my video about the new version here: </p><figure class="media"><oembed url="https://youtu.be/jHho6Y9Ly34"></oembed></figure><p>As a cheap dry storage box for filament, IKEA Samla boxes (57x39x28 cm) are used by many.</p><p>Sadly, when using a short piece of pipe to hold filaments, changing just one without disturbing the other three is very hard.</p><p>Each Samla box can hold up to 4 spools with 70mm width.<br>While the included filament spools from the MMU2S fit into the samla box, they are too wide so only 2 filaments fit in there.</p><p>This would mean a lot of wasted space since you now need 3x IKEA samla boxes or one huge one.</p><p>This print is the solution:</p><p>2 Filament Spools on Prusa MMU2S spools in the first Samla Box, and 3 in the 2nd one.</p><h3><strong>Print instructions</strong></h3><ul><li>Print 3x "spool roll bottom" and 6x "spool roll insert"</li><li>Fit the ends of the rollers into skate bearing</li><li>Push skate bearing assembly into place (will click into place)</li><li>Insert M3 brass insert with soldering iron</li><li>Connect three spool rolls into a big assembly</li></ul>
