Ikea Samla Drybox: Rod Holder Remix
prusaprinters
A remix for a 10 mm rod holder in a Ikea Samla 22L box.I wanted to make a simple, drybox from a Ikea Sampla 22 L where I can safely store my filament rolls without being able to print from outside the box.I found the design by CCoonz interesting, but I only needed the 10 mm rod holder. Not the rest of the design.Problem: The original design was not high enough for me, because I wanted to used it in combination with the following Silicagelbox: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3444820I edited the design in Tinkercad to be quite a bit higher. A common 10 mm rod can be used as a holder for the filament rolls. I used a simple 10 mm aluminium rod here, which can be bought in many hardware stores. This currently works for me, so I wanted to share my simple edit, so other people may use it too.Print SettingsPrinter Brand:CrealityPrinter: Ender 5Infill:25%Filament:eSun PLA+ GreyNotes:Print a minimum of 2 rod holders.Screwholes from the orginal design are still in place, but since I did not have screws that were als long as the redesigned holder, I simply used tape to fix the complete holder in it's place.
