Ikea Roller Blind Mounting Brackets
thingiverse
After losing my original Ikea 16986 blinds mounts, I came up with these designs as replacements and they've worked like a charm for over a year now. Installation Make sure to read the instructions carefully because installing this side first is essential - the mounting holes are on the same side as the post, which means you won't be able to get your screwdriver in after attaching the blinds. Here's what you need to do: Locate where you want to install the brackets and mark the spot. Mount the bracket with the post first, making sure it's securely attached. While someone holds the blinds for you, attach the remaining bracket to complete the installation. Instructions When printing these designs, rotate the X-axis 90 degrees to ensure they print flat. For added strength, use a 100% infill to minimize any potential structural issues. One year of continuous use has shown that this design can withstand significant force - mine is still intact and functioning as intended. You're free to choose your desired layer height; aesthetics don't play a role in the functionality of this replacement part.
