Ikea Pax - Screwless Filament Rack

<p>Let me tell you a story!</p><p>A few weeks ago I became obsessed with this 3D printer “enclosure” I saw on the Prusa 3D Printing facebook group. I just had to built it, following the posters design almost identically with a few little of my own tweaks, this is one of those tweaks.</p><p>Currently, I have one Printer, my Prusa Mini+ but I'm always toying with the idea of a bigger printer or another mini, so I didn't want to permanently adapt the cabinet or have the sides messed up by a poor screw job by myself so I set out on a journey of using only the pre-drilled holes inside the Ikea Pax.</p><p>Now, I'm okay with Fusion 360 and I'm okay with Tinkercad and I tend to use these two tools side by side to achieve what I want - Luckily for me a remix existed on thingiverse which had the perfect peg placement, (<a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5398920">IKEA Pax Spool Holder (without screws) by MichiKehler - Thingiverse</a>) So I sectioned those off in Tinkercad and then set out designing everything else out in Fusion. This is my result - A little bit of 3D magic, a beauty of a printer and some 21.5mm PVC pipe from Screwfix(<a href="https://www.screwfix.com/p/floplast-overflow-pipe-white-21-5mm-x-3m/68593">FloPlast Overflow Pipe White 21.5mm x 3m | Overflow Waste System | Screwfix.com</a>) for £2.27 and voila. The pipe is long enough for multiple racks as you can see from the photos - I just haven't finished printing the second set of front brackets.</p><p>Because of the placement of the holes I made the brackets different shapes, but I imagine you could use the front brackets and then mirror them in the cabinet but this way they sit a little further back.</p><p>Remember you'll need two of the back bracket.</p><p>I'll be adding this to a collection on my page called Ikea Pax Enclosure, so I have a few little tweaks/addon's that I will add to it all with the same ethos of no Screws!</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>EDIT: Here is my Screwless Collection:<br><a href="https://www.printables.com/social/110863-randumbprints/collections/201652">Ikea Pax - Screwless Collection by RandumbPrints | Printables.com</a></p>
