IKEA mirror holder for CR-10
thingiverse
This is a remix of Evanrud's "Creality CR-10 Wire management, Strain relief and Glass holder" https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2328449 Since many users are utilizing IKEA mirrors due to the warped glass bed, I decided to create a mirror holder. Caution: when printing, use a filament that can withstand high temperatures without deforming. PLA filaments tend to warp when exposed to warmth (the displayed images are PLA for testing purposes since I am unable to print ABS or ColorFabb XT/HT due to the absence of a printer enclosure). These holders slide onto the corners of the printing bed, securing the mirror in place. No clips or tape are necessary (if needed, please ensure your heating bed is level). One image shows the original glass holder, while another displays my modified design. Word of caution: it's essential to use supports during the printing process :). This is a beta version and a work-in-progress. [EDIT] There still appears to be a small gap, approximately 0.6mm, between the holders and the mirror after installation. As I mentioned earlier, I can only print in PLA. A user from the Creality CR-10 Facebook page will soon print them in ABS to confirm or disprove my findings. Please stay tuned...
