My trusty desk lamp had a major design flaw - its bulky base took up way too much precious workspace on my IKEA Melltorp desk, which I use daily as my workstation. To rectify this issue, I created a custom bracket that securely holds the lamp in place while freeing up valuable real estate. Since the lamp's foot attaches to the bracket via a sturdy 13mm bolt, I designed the bracket to slide smoothly into position, allowing for easy installation and removal as needed. The bracket itself is secured firmly with double-sided tape, eliminating any worries about it coming loose over time.
