I'm Replacing Plastic Pivot Pieces with Stronger Metal Counterparts, Enabling Me to Safely Hold Full Weight of CDs and Shelves. These Custom-Made Pivots Save My Cabinet from Scrapping Since the Original Ikea Parts Are No Longer Available. I've Created Them Using Open Scad Design Software, Which Was a Great Learning Experience for Me as a Beginner. Each Shelf Requires Two Pieces of Each Pivot Type. I Printed These in Pla Material on My Prusa I2 3D Printer with a 0.3mm Nozzle Setting. Cura Software Was Used for the Printing Process, and Here Are Some Important Settings That Were Employed: Layer Thickness: .1 Shell Wall Count: 66 Layers Resulting from My .3mm Nozzle Size Infill Density: 50% Printing Temperature: 215c Heated Bed Setting: 65c, Held in Place with Kapton Tape
