I got my Ikea Malm desk (https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00214157/) years ago when I was a small kid and it has served me pretty well, handling all my maker-practices so far. A problem arose however: as the years passed, I grew bigger and eventually became too big to comfortably work behind the Ikea Malm desk. It's crucial to maintain good posture while sitting at a desk, which is why I decided to lift mine up slightly - that slight adjustment turned out to be 85mm. This 'desk elevator' or whatever you want to call it has become one of my most useful prints on my 3D-printer as it serves me daily for over half a year now. The parts are incredibly strong and sturdy, likely to last longer than the time it takes for PLA to biodegrade. Working at the desk is seamless; you won't even notice that it has six legs. In fact, the desk appears more stable than before due to Ikea's sometimes-unpredictable sturdiness. The design consists of three distinct parts: one fits into the left-front and right-back of the storage unit, another into the right-front and left-back, and the third into the remaining side. You'll need two pieces of each part. While I've outlined where they go, it's pretty self-explanatory - as long as they fit, you're good to go! If you print this, a great way to show appreciation is by posting a make of it.
