Ikea Malm bed headboard table + speaker holder
thingiverse
A perfect accessory for the Ikea Malm bed's head end, this table measures 16x16cm. You can easily customize its design with SketchUp Make to create a ~14cm version that fits your smaller print size requirements. I'm using two as speaker holders and have uploaded not one but two versions - a massive one and another with three large holes designed to save printing time and cost. My table was printed with Esun PETG, where the first layer is set at 235°C, while all other layers are maintained at 225°C, with a bed temperature of 75°C, 0.3mm layer height, 0.4mm nozzle diameter, and just one outline layer for added stability. To achieve this level of stability, I opted for 11% fast honeycomb infill, three top and bottom layers, and set the fan to run at 50% from layer 25 onwards. When sliced with Simplify3D V1.2, it requires approximately 90g filament and 4-5 hours of printing time, capable of holding more than 10kg - even my 8kg speakers remain perfectly stable, without any signs of wobbling. The newer version, V1.1, is even more stable but demands a longer printing time, requiring additional filament in the process.
